Builders Commercial Capital Group (BCCG), headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia, is a privately held commercial real estate finance firm specializing in short-term Build-to-Sell (BTS) and long-term Build-to-Rent (BTR) residential projects, as well as select commercial developments. Founded by mortgage professionals Jay and Melinda Lawson, BCCG was created to provide flexible, high-yield investment opportunities for accredited private investors while meeting the capital needs of homebuilders in a rapidly shifting lending environment.

BCCG originally launched as a loan brokerage in July 2025, assisting homebuilders in accessing alternative financing. Over time, we recognized that traditional private-sector construction loan programs were often too rigid, expensive, or misaligned with project timelines. This insight drove our transition from a brokerage model to a full-service commercial mortgage banker. As a commercial mortgage banker, BCCG directly structures, underwrites, and originates construction loans, controls financing terms and investment structures, and works with private capital sources rather than relying solely on institutional lenders. This model allows us to provide tailored financing solutions to builders and create investment-grade note offerings for private investors.

BCCG now offers direct participation construction loan notes, providing investors with the opportunity to invest directly in revenue-generating residential projects. Investors in these notes receive pro-rata interest and principal payments tied to the performance of each project. Importantly, investors are not investing in BCCG, the homebuilder, or any PostVS operating entity, ensuring that their investment is fully aligned with the underlying construction loan and its performance. Our notes are structured to deliver high-yield, fixed-income returns without requiring equity ownership in the project or operating companies.

Our investment model is based on syndicated funding, allowing multiple investors to jointly fund larger construction loans. For example, twenty investors contributing $25,000 each can collectively fund a $500,000 loan. Each project is rigorously underwritten using our pilot framework, which assesses marketability, absorption potential, and long-term growth indicators. This approach blends traditional construction lending discipline with the flexibility of venture-style investing, providing both risk management and attractive potential returns.

BCCG will conduct its first Loan Investment Submissions the week of January 12-16, 2026, bringing together accredited investors and vetted homebuilders. Investors agreeing to opt-in during December will receive detailed investment summaries of upcoming BTS (“build-to-sell) projects, with clear instructions on how to fund selected opportunities through the independently managed title and escrow department at Fidelity National Title.

The closing coordinator at Fidelity Title oversees every aspect of funding, closing, and exit strategy, providing professional-grade oversight and ensuring investor protection throughout the investment lifecycle.
